Before that on 6 August 2024 He qualifies for final and the minimum criteria to qualify the final round is 84 meters. Players have to throw a javelin of at least 84 meters to qualify for the final round.

In 2022 He Set a new record in Commonwealth games with a throw of 90.18 meters and he is the first South Asian player who throw 90 meters. He wins a silver medal in World Athletics Championship. Now Arshad break his own record with a throw of 92.97 meters.
